KWSG Commences Reconstruction of Gada-Woro Bi-Water Facility

...Carries Out Extensive Water Reticulation Projects in Jebba and Ilorin Communities.

In a bid to continue providing all residents with essential basic amenities, the Kwara State Government has commenced the reconstruction of a bi-water facility and the reticulation of water pipelines in many parts of the state.

The State Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade, disclosed this over the weekend in Gada-Woro, Patigi Local Government Area, while carrying out an on-the-spot assessment of the ongoing reconstruction of the dilapidated bi-water facility and water reticulation projects in the community.

The Commissioner, who was represented by the Acting Director of Water Engineering Services, Engr. Hajara Aremu, stated that extensive water reticulation projects are also ongoing in Wara, Egbejila, and Mogaji-Ogo communities within the Ilorin metropolis.

Hon. Lade explained that the bi-water facility at Gada-Woro is being converted into an integrated water supply system with expanded pipeline reticulation and additional fetching points to ensure wider access to potable water for residents.

He further noted that the Jebba community is also benefiting from similar water pipeline construction, extension and expansion projects, which are currently at an advanced stage, emphasizing that the projects would be completed within a short period to enable more residents to access safe and potable water.

Speaking on behalf of the Gada-Woro Community, Alhaji Abubakar Baiwa, described the project as laudable, adding that upon completion, it would go a long way in alleviating the suffering of the people.

Alhaji Baiwa pledged the community's commitment to safeguarding the project for the overall benefit of residents and thanked the state government for the intervention.
