Kwara Communications Ministry Emerges Finalist For Spokespersons Awards
The Kwara State Ministry of Communications has emerged as a finalist in the Knowledge Hub category of the 2026 National Spokespersons Awards organised by Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), publishers of PRNigeria and Spokespersons’ Digest.
The recognition, according to the Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju, underscores the Ministry’s growing profile in strategic communication and knowledge management.
Hon. Olukoju explained that the Ministry’s emergence as a finalist in the prestigious national awards reflects its commitment to excellence, innovation, and professionalism in public communications.
Reacting to the development, the Commissioner described the recognition as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the Ministry in advancing effective communication and information management in Kwara State.
According to her, “this recognition is both humbling and encouraging. It reflects our unwavering commitment to building a Ministry that will not only disseminate information but also serve as a repository of knowledge and a platform for learning, collaboration, and innovation.
“I dedicate this milestone to His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, whose support and investment in the communications ecosystem continue to inspire us to aim higher”, she concluded.
Also reacting to the development, the Director of Information in the Ministry, Mr. Demola Olarewaju, noted that the Ministry’s emergence as a finalist validates the collective efforts of its workforce in promoting effective and impactful communication.
According to him, “Being recognised on a national stage is a source of pride for us. It shows that our dedication to professionalism and our efforts at strengthening information management and public engagement are yielding positive results. We remain committed to raising the bar.”
One of the staff members of the Ministry, Mr. Adeoye Samuel, described the recognition as a motivation for officers within the Ministry to continue striving for excellence.
“This achievement belongs to every member of staff. It is a reminder that diligence and teamwork are always rewarded. We are encouraged to do even more in advancing the objectives of the Ministry,” he said.
Similarly, Mrs. AbdulGaniyu Hajarat, another staff member, said the recognition would spur the Ministry to continue embracing innovation and best practices in communication.
“It is gratifying to see our efforts being recognised nationally. This recognition will further strengthen our resolve to contribute meaningfully to the vision of the Ministry and the overall development agenda of the state,” she added.
The National Spokespersons Awards is regarded as Nigeria’s premier platform for recognising excellence, integrity, and impact in public communication.
