Auto EI Lauds Kwara Govt on Innovative Transportation Drive.

The Automotive and Locomotive Engineers Institute of Kaduna State has lauded the critical development recorded in the Kwara State transportation sector, which has significantly improved the socio-economic development of Kwarans.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Lafia Aliyu Korasabi, received the encomium while hosting the representatives of the institute who paid him a courtesy visit in his office, recently. 

Hon. Korasabi, who appreciated the Institute for the acknowledgement of the State's unwavering strides, especially in transportation, emphasized Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's zeal at ensuring that all glitches in the State's transportation system were fixed and replaced with better alternatives.

"The Kwara State Ministry of Transportation, within all the resources available and the experienced management on ground, will continue to ensure things are done perfectly in accordance with standard templates that would align with the Governor's vision and diplomatic leadership, which is focused on developing Kwara", Lafia asserted.

While appreciating the insightful programmes of the institute and the synergy sought from the State Government, the Commissioner assured them that the Ministry's door is ever open for collaborations, aimed at improving and accelerating the progress for the State.

On his part, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alh.Salau Kabiru Abdullahi, appreciated the representative of the institute for their thoughtfulness on the proposed collaboration with the Ministry and the Award of Honour bestowed on the Commissioner, while assuring them of the maximum cooperation of the Ministry. 

Earlier in his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Matrix D'Affaires Limited, a consultium of Automotive and Locomotive Engineers Institute, Engr. Mobolaji Olajide, who appreciated the privilege to meet with the Ministry's management, commended the remarkable transformation of  Kwara's transportation system.

Speaking further, Olajide revealed that the visit was guided by the shared vision to explore meaningful collaboration with the Ministry in a way that aligns with the Government's mission to enhance mobility, safety and innovation on traffic management across the State.

According to him, partnership with the Institute will focus on capacity building and technical training, policy advisory and technical supports, digital transport solutions-to enhance smart mobility, including other areas, such as youth empowerment and technical education -through partnership with tertiary institutions and technical colleges in the State, as well as annual Kwara Transport and Mobility Summit, where the government, industries, critical stakeholders in the State's transport sector, civil society and the academia would be sharing insights on promoting viable innovations to drive Kwara's transportation forward.

Another key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of Award of Honour to the  Commissioner for Transportation for the notable leadership traits and commitment to his duty as the Commissioner for the Kwara State Ministry of Transportation.

The Kwara State Civil Service Commission will conduct oral interviews for shortlisted medical and healthcare candidates on Wednesday, 21 May 2025 , and Thursday, 22 May 2025 , beginning at 8:00 a.m. each day at the Commission’s headquarters on Ahman Patigi Road, GRA, Ilorin. PUBLIC CLARIFICATIONS ON THE PROPOSED PAVILION

  Kwara State Geographic Information Service (GIS) again wishes to state the following on the proposed pavilion project:  The Service restates that at no time was any approval sought nor any given before the contractor illegally embarked on the construction work at the site. This is a grave offence under the law, which attracts 200% penalty. The Service does not tolerate such behaviour under whatever guise, hence the stoppage of work on the second day it started, February 7, 2025.
