KWSG COLLABORATES WITH TIC FOR MSMEs DEVELOPMENT

As part of its measures to eradicate poverty through the promotion of Entrepreneurship, the Kwara State Government has again collaborated with Technology Incubation Centre in Ilorin and Offa.  

The State Commissioner of Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, who expressed the State government's continued commitment to develop Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in the State, stressed the need for the collaboration during a courtesy visit by the Technology Incubation Centre, Ilorin and Offa extension, under the National Board for Technology Incubation Centre, Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, in her office.

While appreciating the Team for the visit, Hon. Damilola enjoined the Management Team of the Centre to strengthen the collaboration with the State government by ensuring that the Centre is fully utilized by the State, as it was under utilized before now.

Earlier, The Centre Manager, Technology Incubation Centre (TIC), Ilorin, Mr.Mikhail Rilwan, applauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration for ensuring growth and development of the State as well as creating enabling environment for Small and Medium Enterprises to strive in the State.

Mr. Rilwan highlighted the activities of the centre that was created in 2009, saying it is responsible for enrollment of new entrepreneurs to develop their skills and standardized them under the period of six months.

The Centre Manager further solicited for the State government's collaboration and the signing of Memorandum of Understanding to accelerate the creation of Industrial Park in the State and also create budgetary in the Ministry annual expenditure for the development of the centre.
