KWSG Completes Afon Waterworks Project, Expresses Satisfaction

The Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade disclosed this cheering news during an assessment visit to the project site in Afon.

Hon. Lade commended the contractor for executing the project according to specifications, declaring that the Afon Waterworks project is fully ready for use.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Christiana Asonibare disclosed that the state government is always concerned about the masses, noting that the masses should, in turn, take proper care of the facilities in their community.

The Director of Water Resources and Engineering Services, Engr. Yusuf Wopa said the Afon Waterworks is now ready, adding that the absence of power supply in the entire community was responsible for the inability of the Waterworks to pump water for use.

Earlier, the APC leader in Asa Local Government, Alhaji Sanni Issa Amosa applauded the state government for its exceptional good performance in the water sector across the state. 

Alh. Amosa, who briefed the Commissioner about the flood situation in the community, and how it had taken over the dam site, appealed to the state government to come to their rescue before the commencement of dry season.
