Towoju re-echoes "Ise nlo" mantra as he visits ongoing projects

The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has assured Kwarans that all the projects carried out by Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq are on course, nearing completion, and he noted that the incessant rain has not deterred the progress as work remains ongoing.

Hon. Towoju gave this assurance while touring some of the project sites with his counterpart from the Ministry of Works and Transportation, Hon. Suleiman Rotimi Iliasu.

While addressing the media, Hon. Towoju allayed the fear of Kwarans on the rain disrupting the progress of the work, "the water from the rain is being dislodged immediately allowing for work to continue without further delay."

Speaking Further, Towoju confirmed that, "90 percent of people working on the site are Kwarans and this means Kwara money is going back to the rightful owners. This can only happen in an administration that cares and prioritises her people.

"This project is a confirmation of His Excellency's commitment to spending Kwara money for the right purposes."

On his part, Hon. Iliasu described the progress of work at the Gen. Idiagbon Flyover as "going as planned and by next month, the projects would have taken a different shape in terms of its outlook. People who are wondering what the project is would start to have a clear picture of a bridge being under construction."

He equally gave an assurance that the rain "has not stopped the progress of the work and the Ministry is keeping tabs on the contractor to ensure that every material used is the exact specification in the contract."

"Also, we are monitoring the progress of the work and very soon, the Bridge should be ready for commissioning," Iliasu added.

The sites visited were the Ilorin International Conference Centre along Ahmadu Bello Way and the Gen. Babatunde Idiagbon Bridge at Tanke.
