AKAJE, TOWOJU VISIT KWARTMA SEEKS SYNERGY
The Kwara State Government has called for working relationship among its Ministries, Departments and Agencies to fast track the State Government's effort in curbing traffic congestion in the State.
The state commissioner for Business Innovation and Technology Honourable Ibrahim Akaje made the statement during a familiarization visit to Kwara State Road Traffic Maintenance Agency (KWARTMA) to seek synergy with it on traffic management in markets and other commercial centres in the state.
Akaje thanked the management of KWARTMA for its efforts in ensuring and maintaining free flow of traffic in the state, but enjoined them to put more efforts in that regard.
Similarly, the state commissioner for Communications, Honourable Olabode Towoju, in his remarks commended the efforts of the agency for maintaining and coordinating smooth traffic flow in the state.
Towoju called the attention of the agency to find a lasting solution to indiscriminate and double parking of vehicles by motorist in the state prevent avoidable accidents.
Earlier, the acting Chief Executive KWARTMA Mr. Akeem Adegboye appreciated the two commissioners and assured them of their total cooperation and to continue to do more in curbing the road traffic jam within the state.
Present at the meeting were; Director Trade Mr Taiwo Adebisi, Head of Trade Mr Maiyaki Tsado and Head of Investment, Mallam Muritala Sarafadeen.
