*KWSG has given a level playing ground for all - AbdulRazaq Hamzat*

The Kwara State Government has received commendations on setting its priorities right and giving listening ears to the plights of Kwarans while also making workers' welfare top priority. 

The commendation was given by the Coordinator of Kwara Must Change, Abdulrazaq Hamzat, today while featuring on a KwaraTV programme, "Face to face with Bode Towoju," a weekly programme hosted by the state Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju.

According to Hamzat , "the "O tó gé Revolution is becoming a reality and Kwara is indeed changing positively.

"Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is a man of many parts, he is one of those visionary people who have done many great things in silence," he stated.

When asked about his view on the government's focus on the youth, he responded that "the government has great vision, which is showcased in the creation of the ICT Hub, which will help the youths tap into global resources while boosting the economy.

On the Film village, the coordinator said Nigeria is fast becoming an entertainment industry, and that it will help boost the economy of the state and also bring Kwara to the same level as Lagos State in the entertainment industry.

On education, he reiterated that the government has improved the education system which has seen the Kwara child performing excellently.

He further commended the efforts of the government in employing 4701 teachers based on merit, noting that it gave every Kwaran the opportunity to apply for the vacancies and to be chosen solely on their academic prowess.

Hamzat also commended the administration of Gov. AbdulRazaq for the 35 percent  inclusion of women in the state executive council, adding that "what we see in Kwara State is development from the heart, which no other state has been able to attain.

"When there is an equal opportunity for all, every person ,including opponent parties members, elites and the masses will all benefit," he said.

On the issue of minimum wage, Hamzat submitted that paying the minimum wage is a necessity for the government and he noted that the reason the present administration is able to pay is because they prioritize workers' welfare, despite the sharp drop in the Federal Allocation.

On the repositioning of the media houses, Hamzat said "one of the most important arms of the government is the media, and the Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq adminstration has made it realistic for the state media houses to run effectively by providing all they need."

He stressed that the government understands its duty, and has set its priorities right while adding that this is made evident in "the way the governor has touched every sector of the state."

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
