In line with the recent development which saw to the reshuffling of some members of the Cabinet, I, Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh, wish to appreciate His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, for the opportunity to be once again part of the members of the State Executive Council.

It is a great honour to be given the privilege to serve in another capacity to further contribute to the success of the administration and development of Kwara state.

My sincere appreciation goes to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazak for giving me the opportunity to serve in the Ministry of Communications as the Commissioner. 

The short but impactful service in Communications availed me the great opportunity to render my services and address some prevalent issues facing the Ministry and its Agencies while ensuring that the people of the state had a better knowledge of all the activities and achievements of this administration.

One of the icing on the cake is the recent release by the National Broadcasting Commission the Broadcast Licences to operate Kakakin FM and Nootia FM, in Okuta, Baruten Local Government Area, which will, in no small way, lead to a better and wider coverage of the activities of the government, even to the interiors of the state. 

As I officially resume office as the Commissioner for Environment, I will ensure that, together with the Management and Staff of the Ministry, Kwara State achieves a greener and neater look, while making it a priority to address the issue of indiscriminate dumping of wastes on our road medians and ensuring adequate compliance with Environmental sanitation and proper care of the environment. 

Once again, I appreciate His Excellency, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazak and I promise to contribute my quota towards the development and progress of Kwara State.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State Government launched the Kwapreneur program as a strategic effort to empower industrious and innovative young entrepreneurs across the state. Established in December 2019, KWASSIP is committed to combating extreme poverty and enhancing financial inclusion among underserved populations in Kwara State. Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes. It added that registration for the placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) is free, and it closes on Thursday 18th July,2024.
