Christmas : A Season of Love and Humility - Buraimoh

The State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh, has congratulated Christians on the 2021 Christmas Day celebration while also charging them to emulate Christ by showing love and exhibiting selflessness in their day-to-day activities.

Buraimoh gave the charge in a statement made available on Friday and according to her, Christians should "follow the path of peace and love, not only on Christmas day but thoughout our lives."

" I implore us all to let the peace, calmness, joy and serenity that this period is known for to continue. Let us be our brother's keeper and do unto others as we want them to do for us.

Our prayers are that we will all be alive to witness more of this celebration in good health and peace of mind. This will not be our last Christmas on earth," she said.

The Commissioner further urged Christian faithfuls to observe the Covid-19 guidelines during the festivities and maintain social distancing, practising regular hand washing with proper use of face masks as the new variant Omicron is real and that it can be avoided by staying safe and following the  laid down rules.
