KWSG Reaffirms Support for Education Development Across 16 LGAs

The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to educational development and infrastructure across the sixteen Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the State.

The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, made this reaffirmation today in Omu-Aran during his courtesy visit to the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Adeoti, Olomu Efon II, at his palace.

Dr. Olohungbebe expressed appreciation to the first-class monarch for his role in promoting peace and tranquillity in his domain, commending his efforts in supporting the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in revamping the education sector.

In his remarks, the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Adeoti, observed that under Governor AbdulRazaq's administration, the education sector has received unprecedented attention, which has significantly improved the learning environment and students' welfare in the State.

Oba Adeoti applauded the Commissioner for his visit and prayed for God's guidance in all his endeavours.

In another development, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, noted that the present administration has been performing admirably in ensuring that the children of nobody become somebody in society, promising that the State Government will continue to take proactive measures to address all requests submitted.

The Commissioner made this statement while performing his routine inspection of selected secondary schools within Omu-Aran town, following his courtesy visit to the palace.

At Government Secondary School and Ofe-Aran Commercial College in Omu-Aran, the Commissioner commended the principals, management, and staff of the schools for their orderliness and urged them to sustain the momentum.

In addition, at the Federal Government Girls’ College, Omu-Aran, the Commissioner delivered a keynote address on “Our Heritage” at the 30th Old Students’ Association event of the College, encouraging the students to value their teachers and those they have encountered in life.

Speaking on behalf of the schools visited, the Chairman of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Omu-Aran Zone, who also serves as the Senior Secondary School Principal of Government Secondary School, Omu-Aran, Pastor Olusola Ajewole, emphasised that the State Government remains dedicated to creating an enabling environment for students to thrive, highlighting that education remains a top priority under the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq.
