Children’s Day: Kwara’s Young Stars Shine as Abolore Salutes Governor’s Vision for Youth
The Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Afees Abolore Alabi, has joined hundreds of school children at the 2025 Children’s Day celebration held at the Main Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin, where he applauded the impressive parades, musical performances, and displays showcasing the talents of the State’s young generation.
Dr. Abolore congratulated the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for fostering an environment that supports peace, growth, and learning. He noted that the Governor’s deliberate investments in education, security, and child welfare have positioned Kwara as a beacon of hope for the leaders of tomorrow.
“A child-friendly environment like this is the result of vision and leadership. We are proud of what His Excellency has done and continues to do to protect and prepare our children for greatness,” the Commissioner stated.
He encouraged young people to stay focused on their education, believe in their potential, and heed the guidance of parents and teachers—qualities that open doors to a bright future. Today’s nurtured children, he added, are tomorrow’s nation-builders.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development remains committed to complementing these efforts through targeted initiatives such as school gardening projects, agricultural education, and youth-focused empowerment programmes—ensuring that the leaders of tomorrow are not only inspired but also equipped with practical skills to thrive in a changing world.
