KWASUTH Dietitian Bags Prestigious IDN Fellowship
The Nutrition and Dietetics Department of the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (KWASUTH) has recorded another professional milestone with the conferment of the prestigious Fellowship Award of the Institute for Dietetics in Nigeria (IDN) on Dtn. Onifade Bashir Abiodun, RDN.
The fellowship was conferred on Dtn. Onifade on Monday at the Lt. Gen. T. A. Lagbaja Multipurpose Hall, Army Barracks, Minna, Niger State.
The distinguished honour recognises his dedication, professional excellence, hard work, commitment, and valuable contributions to the growth of the Institute and the Dietetics profession in Nigeria.
The Fellowship also represents recognition of Dtn. Onifade's commitment to advancing the practice and development of Dietetics and nutrition care.
Dietitians play a vital role in promoting healthy living, preventing nutrition-related diseases, and supporting the management of conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, malnutrition, kidney disease, and obesity through evidence-based nutrition care.
The recognition therefore underscores the importance of professional Dietetics in improving patient outcomes and enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery.
The management and entire staff of KWASUTH, under the leadership of the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Bola Ahmed Abdulkadir, congratulated Dtn. Onifade Bashir Abiodun on the professional distinction.
