2nd Batch of Kwara Pilgrims Return Safely from 2026 Haj

The second batch of 393 pilgrims from Kwara State who participated in this year's Hajj exercise have returned home safely after completing the 2026 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.

It was reported that the pilgrims arrived at the General Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport, Ilorin, aboard a Max Air flight at 10:34 p.m. last night, and they were accompanied by a medical official.

The pilgrims expressed gratitude to Allah for a successful and spiritually fulfilling Hajj exercise and appreciated the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board for the arrangements and support provided throughout their pilgrimage.

Family members, friends, and well-wishers were at the airport to receive the returning pilgrims.

With the arrival of the 393 pilgrims last night, the total number of pilgrims who have returned to Kwara State now stands at 953 out of the 1,714 pilgrims who participated in this year's Hajj from the state.

Meanwhile, the third batch of Kwara State pilgrims who participated in the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage are expected to arrive in Ilorin today (Tuesday).

IVTEC-KWSG Empowers Youths Under the 2024/2025 Employment Generation Scheme

The Kwara State Government, in collaboration with International Vocational Technical and Entrepreneurship College, (IVTEC), Ajase Ipo, has  commenced batch 8 of the year 2024/2025 admission of Youths Empowerment and Employment Generation Scheme.  The Rector of the College, Engr. (Dr.) Yaru Salihu stated this in Ajase Ipo today in a press statement issued from his office. According to the Rector, the programme which is being sponsored by the Kwara State Government is aimed at promoting a viable and skills acquisition training, to increase the effectiveness of government efforts at combating poverty and youth unemployment.
