A Kwara State Court has ordered organisers of the August 1 protest in Kwara State to restrict themselves to the Metropolitan Square in Ilorin, the state capital. Granting an exparte order on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, the court said it agreed with the Attorney General of the state and Commissioner for Justice Bar. Senior Ibrahim Sulyman that such a protest could degenerate into violence if protesters are allowed to do as they wish. The Kwara State Government has again reintroduced the subsidized transport palliative programme to cushion the effect of the Federal government's fuel subsidy removal through the State owned Soludero buses. The Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon.
