Thunderstorms Expected in Kwara: Farmers Urged to Prepare as Planting Season Begins
The Kwara State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development wishes to inform farmers that the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecasted a series of thunderstorms across parts of Kwara State from Tuesday through Thursday, especially during afternoon and evening hours. Farmers are advised to take necessary precautions, as strong winds may precede the rains. Activities in open fields should be limited during periods of lightning, and electrical appliances should be disconnected when not in use. Caution is also advised around trees and unstable structures during heavy downpours.
