KWSG Commences Clubfoot Treatment and Management

The Kwara State Government in Partnership with the Health Advocacy Development, "PLAN Foundation" has launched a special intervention programme on clubfoot treatment and management.  The State’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-lmam made this known during the engagement meeting with the PLAN Foundation at the Ministry’s headquarters, Fate road, Ilorin.  Dr El-Imam said the commitment of the State Government to strengthening health care service delivery in all areas, keeps endearing and attracting development partners to the State. KWDCC Takes Drug Abuse Campaign to Ijara Isin

The Kwara State Drug Control Committee (KWDCC) in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) and the Office of the First Lady of Kwara State have taken the mass mobilization campaign against drugs abuse to Ijara Isin Community in a bid to sensitize the people on the dangers of drug abuse and its dire consequences on the society. Kwara SUBEB holds promotion exam for staff, impressed with their conduct

Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KwSUBEB) at the weekend conducted an examination for its workforce, who are due for the 2022 promotion exercise in the state. The examinees comprise teachers and non-teaching staff and those who are working at the Board’s headquarters.  The exercise, which took place across the examination centers in the sixteen local governments of the state, started at 9am. CERVICAL CANCER: KWSG Collaborates HAPPI To Vaccinate 300,000 Female Teenagers in the State - KWPHCDA

The Kwara State Government, in partnership with the Health Accelerated Papilloma Prevention Initiative (HAPPI), has expressed readiness to vaccinate 300,000 girls from ages 9-14 years in the State with Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccine, to prevent the surge of cervical cancer. The State Mobilization Officer, Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Dupe Shittu, disclosed this over the weekend during a state engagement meeting with Media Stakeholders at the E-Phoenix Hotel, GRA, Ilorin. Dr. Shittu stated that "HPV, or Human Papilloma Virus is an endemic group of viruses that can infect the genital areas of both men and women, while many HPV infections can be treated naturally."
