KWSG Committed to Economic Development


The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the economic growth of the state in the best interest of Kwarans.

The State Commissioner for Planning and Economic Development, Dr. (Mrs.) Mary Arinde disclosed this yesterday at the ongoing 2025 revised budget meeting, held at the Ministry of Finance Conference Hall.

Dr. Arinde reaffirmed the State Government's determination to address necessary areas that may require government attention  across State Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in the State for the betterment of the entire citizens.

The 2025 revised budget defence, which commenced with the Ministry of Communications, would have other MDAs take their turns in quick succession.

The Commissioner implored concerned MDAs to adhere strictly to the laid down prosedures of budget presentation in order to enhance government performance.

She, however, commended the magnanimity of the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, for the approval of the 2025 revised budget.

In attendance were the State Commissioner for Finance,  Dr. Hawa Nuru, Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju and Commissioner for Youth Development, Amb. Ndanusa Usman Shehu.

Others include the Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare, Dr. (Mrs.) Mercy Shittu, Executive Chairman KW-IRS, Mrs. Shade Omoniyi, Permanent Secretary, Finance, Alhaji Abdulrasak Folorunsho, and members of the Budget Central Planning Committee, among others.
