KWFRC Inspects Projects in Ilorin South Local Govt

The Kwara State Fiscal Responsibility Commission (KWFRC) has visited the Ilorin South Local Government Area Council for the inspection of newly completed and ongoing projects by the Council.

The Chairman of the  Commission, Barrister Abubakar Othman who described the projects as dividends of democracy, said they include renovation of schools, supply of potable drinking water among others, urging the Council to do more for citizens.

He observed some dilapidated structures at the Oke Aluko School, and advised the Headmistress to write the Local Government Chairman for prompt intervention.

The Ilorin South Chairman represented by the DPM, Mrs Alice Ogunsakin, welcomed the inspection team, explaining that the projects were carefully selected to meet the yearnings of citizens.

Some of the projects included; drilling and installation of motorized boreholes with four toilets at Tanke, renovation of two blocks of classrooms with furniture at Sango Junior Secondary School, renovation of a classroom and the Principal's office, including the construction of four unit of toilets at Gbagba Junior Secondary School Kulende, renovation of a block of two classrooms with furniture at at Oke Aluko School, drilling and installation of motorized borehole at Pake Annex, construction of ultra modern toilets at LGA Pake Annex, completion of 100 KVA transformer at Olufadi Health Care Centre at Oke Ogun Ward, drilling and installation of motorized borehole at Olomoda Community and the procurement of three 300/11KVA transformer at Oke-Adini.
