KWEPA GM Warns Against Lateness, Pledges Commitment to Clean Kwara

The newly appointed General Manager of the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), Hon. Jide Aina, has issued a stern warning to the management and staff of the Agency against habitual lateness to work, stating clearly that such behaviour would not be tolerated under his watch.

Hon. Aina made this known yesterday during a familiarization meeting with the Agency’s staff, held at the conference hall of KWEPA. He emphasized the importance of discipline, punctuality, and dedication to duty, which he described as critical to achieving the goals of the Agency.

He reaffirmed his commitment to aligning the Agency’s operations with the current administration’s “Operation Clean Up Kwara” initiative, led by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and called for unity, cooperation, and mutual understanding among all staff members to ensure effective service delivery and the attainment of the Agency’s mandate.

The General Manager expressed profound gratitude to Governor AbdulRazaq for the opportunity to serve the people of Kwara State and extended special thanks to the Commissioner for Environment and Forestry, Hajia Nafisat Buge, for her continued support and guidance, assuring that he would justify the confidence reposed in him.

In her remarks, the Secretary of the Agency, Hajia Idayat Folorunsho, congratulated Hon. Jide Aina on his well-deserved appointment and pledged her full support and cooperation towards the progress and success of the Agency.

Also present at the meeting were the Director of Environment, Mrs. Mary Mustafa; Director of Planning, Ministry of Environment; and other top management staff of KWEPA.
