KWASSIP Charges KWATEC, Stakeholders on Collaborative Efforts for Meaningful Progress

…As KWATEC Seeks Partnership with KWASSIP on Youth Empowerment.

In a bid to strengthen youth development and expand social investment opportunities in Kwara State, the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) has charged the newly inaugurated Kwara Youth Technical Working Committee (KWATEC) and other stakeholders to give their full support, cooperation, and loyalty to the present administration, stressing that collaboration is key to achieving meaningful progress.

The General Manager, KWASSIP, Dr. Abdulwasiu Tejidini, gave the charge while receiving the Kwara Youth Technical Working Committee (KWATEC), which paid a courtesy visit to his office in Ilorin.

Welcoming the Committee, Dr. Tejidini expressed his readiness to work closely with KWATEC, highlighting the state government’s heavy investment in youth-focused programmes, which include empowering young people in the state to confidently compete with their peers across Nigeria and around the world.

“Our young people must now be good ambassadors of Kwara State. We encourage KWATEC to develop more ideas and initiatives that will improve youths’ lives. Publicize your work so people will know the value you are adding,” he added.

Earlier in his remark, the Chairman of KWATEC, Engr. Abdulkareem Abdulkareem, thanked the General Manager, KWASSIP, for the warm reception and expressed his desire for both the Agency and the Committee to work together, noting that the visit was meant to seek collaboration with KWASSIP in order to foster youth development in the state. 

“KWASSIP being an Agency saddled with the responsibility of providing social investment for the youths and Kwarans at large is our first point of call due to its relevance and proven impact on the lives of Kwara’s vibrant youth population. This collaboration aims to align technical education with grassroots empowerment programmes, foster entrepreneurship, skill acquisition, and economic inclusion for young people across the state,” Engr. Abdulkareem said.

He stated that the partnership would focus on youth intervention programmes, entrepreneurship, and implementing Federal Government-backed social investment initiatives at the state level.

While praising Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration for prioritizing technical education and youth empowerment, the Chairman described this as a major step towards reducing unemployment and building a brighter future.
