The Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Afees Abolore Alabi, has extended heartfelt encouragement to Kwara United Football Club as the team prepares to face Abakaliki FC in the final of the 2025 Federation Cup today at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.

Dr. Alabi described the team’s journey as a clear reflection of focus, discipline, and purposeful investment in talent—mirroring the reward of patient cultivation, where dedication yields results.

He praised the sports-friendly posture of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whose consistent support for youth development and investment in sports infrastructure has created the right environment for progress in the sector. He also commended the Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, for his tireless coordination and leadership, which continue to reposition Kwara as a force in national sports.

Dr. Alabi further lauded the coaching crew and management team of Kwara United for their professionalism and commitment throughout the campaign, urging them to approach this defining moment with the same focus that brought them this far.

"As a government that values growth—whether in our farmlands or among our people—this moment reminds us that consistent effort always brings a harvest. Kwara United stands as a proud example of what is possible when determination meets preparation,” the Commissioner stated.

He called on all supporters across the State to rally behind the Harmony Boys, expressing confidence that the team will rise to the occasion and bring home the trophy.
