Abolore Commiserates with Family of Late Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo, Former Kwara Governor

The Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Afees Abolore Alabi, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Governor of Kwara State and respected elder statesman, Elder Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo, who died at the age of 84.

Dr. Abolore describes the late Elder Adebayo as a towering figure in Kwara’s political history — one whose life was defined by commitment to service, principled leadership, and a deep sense of duty to the people.

He extends heartfelt condolences to the immediate family, particularly his daughter and colleague, the Commissioner for Livestock Development, Mrs. Oloruntoyosi Thomas-Adebayo, as well as his son, Mr. Cornelius Segun Adebayo, Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA). He encourages them to find comfort in the enduring example their patriarch set through a life of honour and service.

As a former Senator, Governor, and Federal Minister, Elder Adebayo's contributions to state and national development will continue to inspire generations of public servants and leaders. His legacy of public service lives on through his children’s ongoing contributions to agricultural advancement at both the state and federal levels.

Dr. Abolore prays for the peaceful repose of his soul and for strength for the family and all who mourn this great loss.
